My daughter in law gave me a necklace last year for Christmas and I needed to add to it as I have some new grands. The chain had tarnished some so I ordered a new chain. All my chains do that as I must have a lot of iron in my body.

I was expecting a quality piece based on a previous purchase, but regret to say I was disappointed in this necklace. So lightweight it felt like a toy. Did not look or feel like an authentic pewter item.

I received this style of necklace in 2016 as a gift. It had a charm for the initial of each of my three children. It was beautiful and I got lots of compliments on it. I just ordered a new necklace of this style so I would have a charm with the initial of my fourth child. It is a beautiful necklace and charm as well. I requested it to be flat on the top to match my other charms, and it is. But the new charm is obviously different in all other regards to my other three: smaller, shinier silver, more antique black in the recesses, and a lighter impression to the initial. The new pearl seems to lack some luster in comparison. I ordered a longer chain so I could layer the necklaces, with two charms apiece, and see the charms better. Chains are very similar with good clasps. The older chain did have a nice “tvp” tag at the clasp. Overall the new necklace and charm feel less vintage and more mass produced. I’m disappointed the new charm doesn’t match but I’m wearing it with my others because it is lovely in its own right, just like each of my children are :)
But do be aware this product changes over time, and may not exactly match when ordered years apart.
